Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking a Planning & Project Coordinator to support the Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) department. You will coordinate project intake, maintain financial records, assist space planning, and manage small renovation projects, working with campus stakeholders, consultants, and vendors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in project coordination or facilities planning, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and tracking budgets.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project intake across the department and triage assignments.
• Manage space planning data, occupancy analyses, and space governance support.
• Oversee small renovation projects, including scopes, schedules, and vendor coordination.
• Support department financial tracking, procurement, and closeout documentation.
• Communicate with campus stakeholders and external partners to keep projects on track.
