Job summary

Duval County Public Schools is seeking a Facilities Planning & Program Management professional to develop and implement district facility planning, coordinate with outside agencies, and present plans. This role uses demographic data to identify facility needs and supports budget projections.

The position emphasizes collaboration with school administrators, maintenance staff, and partners, managing budgets, maintaining project lists, and ensuring timely completion within the district's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Construction Management, Education, or related field.
• Two years experience at the management or supervisor level with planning, programming, construction, contract management, or related duties.
• Experience budgeting and basic spreadsheet accounting.
• Knowledge of Florida State Statutes and Administrative Rules, SREF rules, regulations, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts, plans, budgets, and develops capital projection costs for the five-year work program.
• Maintains Master School Planning list and analyzes data to inform planning recommendations.
• Develops project scopes with district offices, school administrators, and maintenance personnel.
• Maintains documentation and files; leads communications with district and external contacts; provides status reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
