Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting in spring and fall budget balancing, processing personnel payment set ups, assembling fiscal information, and resolving SAP and budget-related inquiries under supervision and audits.

Qualifications

• Budgeting principles, practices and procedures knowledge.
• Familiarity with school district budget practices and procedures.
• Mathematics knowledge used in budgeting, including statistics.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting and reporting.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases.
• Strong interviewing and data gathering abilities.
• Analytical skills for budgeting and audits.
• Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports.
• Ability to develop forms and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist schools with preparing and balancing spring and fall budgets.
• Advise administrators on budget development and processes.
• Review and process set ups, additions, and deletions for personnel payments outside normal contracts.
• Assemble fiscal information for use in budget preparation.
• Review documentation for completeness and directives compliance.
• Monitor expenditures and recommend actions to meet targets.
• Review cost coding for purchases and district expenditures.
• Maintain budget directives and related documents.
• Develop forms and procedures for budget processes.
• Answer inquiries and resolve SAP, budget transfers, and related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
