Job summary

S.C. Department of Public Health in South Carolina is seeking a Facilities Manager who will supervise, plan, organize, and direct the operation of the Facilities Management Section at the Hayne building.

The role requires coordinating maintenance and repair of building systems and serving as the primary contact with the Office of Administration and external contractors to ensure reliable services. You will oversee design fabrication of special projects, manage telephone and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in facilities management.
• Experience coordinating with Office of Administration and outside contractors.
• Ability to oversee building systems and security-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance and repair of the building systems in the Hayne building.
• Interacts with the Office of Administration and all outside contractors as the primary contact person.
• Directs and participates in the design fabrication of special projects as directed by the Section Directors and Public Health Laboratory Director.
• Responsible for the telephone and communication services for the Public Health Laboratory and Department of Environmental Services.
• Responsible for the operation and support of the Hayne Access Control systems.
• Acts as Property Custodian for the Public Health Laboratory and other duties as assigned.
