Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Proven maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints; strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship; excellent time management.
• Works independently and with a team; effective communication.
• Adapts to safety regulations and prioritizes resident and staff safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist and backup Maintenance Director in assigned areas.
• Perform routine maintenance including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and cleaning/laundry.
• Inspect facility for maintenance or safety issues and address promptly.
• Install, repair, and maintain equipment and plumbing fixtures/electrical appliances.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff promptly.
• Maintain work orders, repairs, and parts records.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and hazards reported.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized work.
• Monitor inventory and assist with procurement of supplies.
