University of South Carolina Upstate seeks a Director of Facilities Management to lead planning, operation, maintenance, repair, renovation, and stewardship of campus facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe, functional, sustainable, and welcoming environment aligned with the university’s strategic plan.

The role includes strategic leadership for facilities operations, capital planning, regulatory compliance, and budget management, with supervision of facilities personnel and a focus on customer

Qualifikationen

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and at least 8 years of job related experience, including some prior management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and successful background check required.
• Preferred: extensive management experience in facilities and/or capital projects management; engineering background is helpful.
• Experience in public higher education or similarly complex state agency is desirable.

• Provide strategic leadership for facilities operations, capital planning, and project delivery.
• Oversee budgeting, regulatory compliance, and supervision of facilities personnel.
• Lead planning, design, construction, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, and energy management units.
• Serve on campus facilities planning committees and related selection processes.
