Job summary

Brookside Charter School in Kansas City, MO seeks a Facilities professional to oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of school buildings. The role requires clear communication with management, teaching and support staff, and a proactive, multi-tasking approach in a high-profile environment.

Key duties include coordinating maintenance, supporting fire and life-safety programs, liaising with contract providers, and maintaining records to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of broad, varied, and increasingly responsible experience with budgeting and operations; four years preferred.
• Managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the facility, systems, rooms, and common areas, and reports back any findings or issues to the Operations Director.
• Coordinates facilities maintenance and repairs.
• Supports the Operations Director in the day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the property to assure maintenance of approved quality standards.
• Assists the Operations Director in the preparation and coordination of fire, life safety, and other safety programs.
• Assists the Operations Director in the preparation and coordination of all maintenance programs relating to interior and exterior conditions and the appearance of the properties.
• Serves as first line of on-site leadership for any facility-related items including responding to and addressing all facility requests submitted by staff via the facility task management system (PropertyTRAK).
• Acts as a liaison between contract provider and School.
• Creates, implements, and manages procedures and processes.
• Maintains records.
