Job summary

Arizona State University in Tempe seeks a Manager, Facilities Operations to lead day-to-day facilities operations across the School of Life Sciences’ laboratories, classrooms, and offices. You will supervise facilities staff, partner with faculty and researchers, and manage budgets and preventive maintenance to keep spaces safe and productive.

The role requires coordinating with university partners and vendors, ensuring timely completion of projects, and supporting research and teaching

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience including two (2) years managerial experience.
Equivalent combination of experience and/or training as acceptable.
Experience supervising facilities staff and coordinating with faculty, researchers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day facilities operations and services across laboratories, classrooms, offices and support rooms.
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate facilities staff; set priorities and ensure coverage.
Develop processes for facilities requests, prioritization, tracking, escalation and completion.
Manage budgets, purchasing, contracts and service agreements within authority.
Coordinate with faculty and researchers to translate needs into scopes of work, cost estimates and schedules.
Coordinate laboratory and office setups, moves, and space turnover; oversee safety and compliance.
