Job summary

Heading Home is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure that buildings and grounds are well-maintained, overseeing regular maintenance, repairs, and renovations. The role negotiates with outside vendors for supplies, parts, equipment, and repairs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting facility issues, managing maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure systems, and coordinating with leadership on all facility activity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance, facilities, or hands-on work experience is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
• Hands-on with systems, mechanics, and building infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Must be available on-call 24-7 to resolve urgent facility needs.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Proficient with technology, including computers, phone systems, and security systems.
• Valid NM driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose facility issues.
• Oversees building projects, maintenance, and repair of all facility systems, assets, and site improvements, including building, parking areas, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and infrastructure systems.
• Manages all preventative maintenance.
• Coordinates with the Director of Operations and Program Director all facility activity in respective buildings.
• Guides operations on basic upkeep and maintenance tasks, repair/replacement decisions, as well as vendor contact and oversight.
• Develops and maintains written emergency procedures.
• Responds to calls on a 24-7 basis to promptly resolve urgent needs of facilities.
• Evaluates conditions and identifies potential issues, repairs, and facility projects.
• Ensures the facilities meet regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
