Job summary

Community First Solutions is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work across multiple facilities. The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read blueprints.

On-call rotation and 24/7 emergencies are part of the job. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and completing work orders promptly while ensuring safety and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license, vehicle liability insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of five years experience in a maintenance-related field.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and read operating manuals.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Must be available 24/7 for facility emergencies or snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair on mechanical, plumbing, electronic, HVAC and other building systems.
• Repairs PVC pipes, toilets, and installs fixtures.
• Troubleshoots wiring, switches, ballasts, and performs routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoots to repair and replace belts on equipment.
• Repairs resident room electronic issues and facility systems.
• Travels between facilities for projects/work orders.
• Operates power tools, snow blowers, salt spreaders and related equipment.
• Manages work orders and prioritizes high-priority tasks.
• Communicates with supervisor and team about issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintains courteous, respectful interaction with residents and families.
