Job summary

BUILD, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the company’s buildings, grounds, and equipment, ensuring safe, healthy, and welcoming facilities for staff and the public. The FM reports to the Director of Operations and will lead maintenance programs, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.

Ideal candidates have extensive facilities management experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage multiple projects and safety programs across all BUILD properties and events.

Qualifications

• Five years of facility management experience required.
• Two years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a buildings and grounds maintenance program with inspections and work orders.
• Plan, coordinate, budget, implement and direct maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
• Decide whether work is done internally or by subcontractors.
• Hire and coordinate subcontractors; monitor performance.
• Recommend capital outlay needs and requirements.
• Determine staffing needs and supervise facilities staff.
• Maintain manuals and logs of building operations and repairs.
• Keep required documentation for building functions.
• Perform planned and emergency maintenance within capacity.
• Manage equipment, tools, cleaning supplies, and inventory.
• Coordinate snow removal and parking lot maintenance.
• Oversee environmental health and safety projects and emergency plans.
