Job summary

The City of Bellevue is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to provide on-site maintenance across multiple city facilities, Monday through Friday with after-hours support as needed. The role requires planning and executing preventive maintenance on building systems, coordinating renovations, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Candidates should have 4+ years of related facility maintenance experience, a valid WA driver's license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Four or more years of progressively responsible related experience in commercial facility maintenance.
Must possess, or obtain, a valid Washington State Driver’s license by date of hire and maintain a good driving record.
Criminal background check clearance required. Apprenticeship or related training preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical building systems.
Coordinate and oversee modifications on renovation projects and contractors/vendors.
Perform root-cause analysis to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on buildings and systems.
Coordinate safety inspections and vendor contracts, prepare scopes and close invoices.
Support project managers with building systems knowledge and vendor coordination.
Respond to emergencies and participate in 24-7 standby rotations.
