Job summary

BRC is seeking a Facility Manager to lead the safe, efficient operation of multiple NYC facilities. You will oversee maintenance, security, and capital projects while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost effectiveness.

The role requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with vendors, and driving energy-efficiency initiatives to support the organization’s mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in facilities management, building operations, construction, or maintenance.
• Experience overseeing maintenance, repairs, building systems, contractors, and vendors.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, safety and security of facilities.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle planning.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Plan and oversee renovations and capital projects.
• Train and supervise maintenance and janitorial staff.
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships and procurement.
• Monitor security operations and access control systems.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support energy initiatives.
• Respond to emergencies and facility issues promptly.
• Collaborate with program leadership to support operations.
