Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee and maintain multiple building sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operation. The role requires coordinating staff and contracted vendors, managing preventative maintenance, and keeping facilities within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in facilities, strong project management and safety knowledge, plus certifications like CPO or other trades.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in facilities and/or buildings and grounds mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise independent contractors.
• Project management/planning experience including cost estimating, budgeting, RFP negotiation/contracts and scheduling.
• Excellent knowledge base of facilities infrastructure and structural.
• Experience with life safety systems; electrical and plumbing; carpentry and related areas.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Familiarity with CAL-OSHA safety standards and HVAC preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned building sites in accordance with safety regulations (CAL-OSHA).
• Manage facility budgets and procurement needs.
• Supervise Facilities staff and contractors as required.
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance activities and inspections.
• Coordinate vendor bids, contracts, and payments.
• Respond to emergencies; participate in on-call rotation.
