Job summary

YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a Facilities Superintendent to oversee maintenance, budgets, and improvement projects for the facilities and vehicles. You will coordinate preventive plans, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, prioritizing capital projects, and maintaining strong safety and reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• College degree or 1–2 years related job experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and human relations skills.
• Driver’s license with acceptable MVR for YMCA vehicle operations.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance-related areas.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
• Preferred Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and preventative maintenance plans and budgets.
• Ensure proper operation of all mechanical systems and oversee repairs.
• Manage contractors and review bids as needed.
• Develop annual capital plans aligned with the YMCA’s strategic goals.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers; evaluate performance.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment per policy and safety standards.
• Support fundraising and other management initiatives as required.
