Job summary

The Seattle YMCA is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to direct maintenance and improvement operations for the branch’s property, facilities, and vehicles. You will oversee preventative plans, budgets, and supervision of maintenance staff to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventative maintenance programs, mentoring staff, and guiding leadership on facilities issues.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in facility management or closely related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, property management and other maintenance-related areas.
• Boiler, HVAC, CPO, CPR and first aid certifications required within first year of employment. An O7 Electrical License is preferred.
• Ability and license to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement maintenance plans for assigned facilities, including preventative maintenance programs and annual improvement plans.
• Provide direct supervision for the maintenance program for assigned facilities; hire, train and evaluate staff.
• Advise branch leadership on maintenance and custodial issues and projects as requested.
• Train and mentor assigned staff to handle routine maintenance and facilities operations.
• Provide leadership to volunteers, including committees if assigned.
• Oversee the work of contracted facility professionals as needed.
• Assist in developing the branch facility budget to support preventative and annual maintenance plans, and monitor expenditures.
• Ensure that all vehicles are maintained and operated in accordance with Association policies.
• Submit timely reports, including Net Facilities, as required.
• Assist with the annual fundraising campaign as assigned.
• Update the facility plans annually.
