Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a driven Facility Maintenance Manager for the Silver Spring location. You will oversee daily facility operations, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping to keep the center safe, clean, and member-ready.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in facilities management, housekeeping operations, or building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.
• Pool Operator Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment.
• Must be available for emergency call-outs as needed.

About the Role

As the Facility Maintenance Manager , you’ll oversee day-to-day facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and housekeeping services across the YMCA Silver Spring. You’ll lead teams, manage systems, and implement best practices to ensure our YMCA facilities remain clean, safe, efficient, and member-ready at all times.

What You’ll Do: In this leadership role, you will:
