Job summary

Landmark Properties, Inc. seeks a Facilities Operations Specialist in Tallahassee to support maintenance programs by stepping in as Maintenance Supervisor when needed.

You will collaborate with Regional Directors – Facilities to safeguard asset value and ensure effective communication. You will conduct property assessments, oversee life safety inspections, coordinate turnover, manage budgets, and train staff, while ensuring OSHA compliance and high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance (including HVAC, plumbing and electrical) required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• EPA Universal & CPO Certification required.
• Experience with Entrata preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to manage one’s own time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Act as interim Maintenance Supervisor or Technician as needed, including on-call duties on weekends.
• Conduct annual property assessments and ensure life safety system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Assist site team with weekly unit and property inspections and documentation.
• Assist in planning and executing the annual turnover process.
• Ensure sites comply with Landmark policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Develop efficient maintenance processes to preserve asset value and customer service.
• Assist Community Manager with maintaining facilities operating budget and purchases.
• Perform inventory evaluation of maintenance shop and supplies.
• Partner with vendors to obtain bids for site projects.
• Evaluate maintenance site staff performance and train team members on SOPs.
• Assist with recruiting vacant property maintenance positions.
