Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks an Assistant Facilities Manager to support day‑to‑day operations at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus environment. You will help manage maintenance, safety, and building systems, while coordinating with tenants and the client to ensure service delivery aligns with contract requirements.

The role emphasizes accuracy in reporting, budgeting support, and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in facilities management or related field required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial/industrial real estate facility management.
• CMMS/Work order management experience preferred.
• CFM/IFMA/BOMA certifications recommended; other engineering or technical training is a plus.
• Ability to read construction specifications and blueprints.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities including janitorial, life-safety, engineering and site services.
• Supervise maintenance programs for interior and exterior conditions of properties.
• Respond promptly to tenant and client maintenance requests and coordinate contract programs.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures and purchase orders.
• Assist in developing capital budgets and five-year maintenance plans.
• Collect and analyze reports to assess facility management objectives.
• Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and coordinate claims.
• Inspect the facility and report findings to the Facility Manager.
