Job summary

Pierce County is seeking a facilities leader to oversee maintenance and operations of county facilities, properties, and grounds. You will supervise a designated unit, plan workflows, and ensure work orders are completed to standard.

Qualifications

Seven years of work experience in building, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, construction, or related trades.
Two years of experience leading employees (assigning, coaching, scheduling).
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Driver’s license.
Certain positions may require licenses such as boiler operation.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance and operations of county facilities, grounds, and infrastructure.
Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; set procedures and schedules.
Process work requests, prioritize and assign work orders; coordinate with customers and contractors.
As SME, review pre-bid maintenance and capital projects for resources and impact.
Implement and monitor training; ensure contractors have required licenses and certifications.
