Job summary

Jackson County is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant county facilities. You will plan daily work, schedule preventative maintenance, and oversee capital projects and system upgrades to support asset stewardship.

The role collaborates with departments, contractors, and vendors to optimize resources, timelines, and service quality, while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and college coursework in civil engineering, public, or business administration.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in construction, operation and maintenance, including two years of supervisory responsibility.
• Valid Oregon State Driver's License with acceptable driving record; First Aid and CPR within six months; Work Zone Safety card within six months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and supervises maintenance and repair work within budget and with available personnel.
• Reviews progress with other departments and contractors; adjusts priorities as needed.
• Supervises staff, conducts performance appraisals, and participates in hiring decisions.
• Assists in division budget development and planning of goals and long-range plans.
• Plans and supervises asphalt/building maintenance activities; ensures safety and legal compliance.
• Inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure quality and safety.
