Job summary

The Carroll County Government is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead county-owned facilities maintenance, plan repairs, and manage preventative maintenance programs.

You will supervise Facilities Staff, coordinate with the Facilities Manager, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and mentor team members to uphold high standards of service and integrity in our public works operations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience supervising staff is required (3+ years).
• Must obtain valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs, projects, and preventive maintenance with focus on electrical and plumbing.
• Plan repairs and maintenance at County-owned facilities.
• Assist in planning future construction, renovation, and maintenance.
• Manage day-to-day operations via CMMS work orders.
• Ensure materials are available for repair parts.
• Enforce safety rules; maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Review budgets and reallocate resources when needed.
• Lead team training and mentor staff; uphold integrity and best practices.
