Job summary

JLL in Boston, MA is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to partner with the Facilities Manager and drive operational excellence across commercial properties. You will lead critical projects and ensure day-to-day building performance while supporting client satisfaction and facility innovation.

The role requires 3-5 years in facility management, strong knowledge of MEP systems and BAS/BMS, and excellent communication with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility management or related field.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and BAS/BMS platforms.
• Proven project management experience with budgets and timelines.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings, equipment specs, and codes.
• Excellent communication with a customer service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations with the Facilities Manager.
• Lead facility improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Conduct regular property inspections and implement improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance under SLAs.
• Respond to tenant service requests and participate in on-call rotation.
• Utilize CMMS, BAS/BMS, and facility software to track work orders and KPIs.
• Present operational updates in Property Management meetings.
