Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, maintenance, or environmental services training preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, maintenance, housekeeping, or laundry operations preferred. Strong knowledge of life safety regulations is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control practices, and facility maintenance principles.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to facility emergencies and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff.
• Ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, safe, and in good repair at all times.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, grounds, and resident areas.
• Manage laundry operations to ensure timely processing and distribution of resident linens and personal clothing.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance, safety, and cleanliness concerns and ensure timely corrective action.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, life safety, emergency preparedness, and long-term care regulations.
• Monitor departmental budgets, inventory, supplies, and vendor services.
• Provide staff training, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in emergency response activities, including disaster preparedness and facility safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with department managers to support resident satisfaction and quality care outcomes.
