Job summary

YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN HUNTSVILLE is seeking a Property Director to lead the care and operation of our facility and grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff.

You will oversee mechanical systems, energy use, and maintenance programs, working with leadership to balance budgets and respond to emergencies after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience in managing facilities operations and maintenance staff with evidence of progressive supervisory experience and skills development.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other maintenance-related areas.
• Knowledge of project management, bidding, project proposals, and preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility and grounds are functional, clean, and organized.
• Develop and manage annual branch property management budget.
• Plan and oversee maintenance on mechanical infrastructure systems (electric, plumbing, HVAC, pool).
• Administer preventative maintenance plans and track work orders to closure.
• Manage energy usage to reduce operating expenses and supervise staff/vendors.
