Job summary

Heart of the Valley YMCA in Madison, AL is seeking a Property Director to lead facilities operations, preventive maintenance, and life-safety systems, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members. You will manage mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, coordinate with staff and contractors, develop budgets, oversee energy use, and serve as MOD when needed.

Qualifications include 3+ years in facilities operations management, knowledge of PM programs, and certifications such as

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities operations and maintenance supervision.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Experience with project management, bidding and preventive maintenance.
• Attention to detail to avoid hazards and ensure quality.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
• Certified Pool Operator within 180 days; CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility and grounds are functional, clean, and organized.
• Oversee mechanical infrastructure and preventive maintenance plans.
• Manage energy consumption to reduce operating costs.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors and review bids.
• Recruit, hire, train, and direct staff and volunteers.
• Act as Manager on Duty as needed.
• Respond to branch emergencies during and outside operating hours.
