Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks a CNSM Facilities Coordinator, reporting to the Associate Dean for Research, Facilities, and Graduate Studies. You will coordinate facilities operations, manage projects, and serve as the CNSM liaison to campus facilities units to ensure reliable teaching and research infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience.
• Progressively responsible journey-level experience in facility operations of laboratory, scientific and technical equipment preferred.
• Valid CA Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilities planning and project coordination: prioritize and coordinate routine facility ops, maintenance requests, and work orders.
• Laboratory and infrastructure support: assist faculty/staff with equipment and supply deliveries to teaching/research labs.
• Facilities communication and liaison: primary point of contact for CNSM facilities inquiries.
• Emergency response and issue management: assist with emergencies to protect samples, reagents, and stocks.
• Operational coordination and logistics: schedule and oversee CNSM junk and surplus pickup by Beach Building Services.
• Resource and asset management: manage CNSM poster board rental system, tracking usage and invoicing.
