Job summary

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a Facilities Procurement professional to support MRO purchases for the University Facilities/Construction Management department. You will review requisitions, prepare orders, and coordinate P-Card transactions to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

You will assist with invoice validation reports, financial and asset inventory tasks, and safety training operations for large programs, while ensuring compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Education in lieu of experience accepted.
• Thorough understanding of analytical/technical or professional discipline; formal 4-year degree or equivalent training.
• Minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement guidance for complex purchases of MRO materials and services.
• Obtain price quotations and prepare internal purchase orders; ensure compliance with state regs and policies.
• Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, and coordinate P-Card transactions for procurement of MRO materials.
• Liaise between vendors and departments for order status and procurement procedures; monitor market trends.
• Assist with project coordination to ensure objectives and compliance.
• Develop and maintain external vendor communications; resolve issues.
• Support in applying university service standards and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc program reports, invoices, and documentation for management.
• Assist with financial, asset inventory, and safety training for large programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
