Job summary

UCLA Facilities Management Procurement is seeking a Procurement Analyst 2 to manage high-volume purchasing, supplier relations, and strategic sourcing for MRO parts and supplies. The role supports emergency and routine orders, ensuring accurate records in MAXIMO and BruinBuy Plus.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills, with a Bachelor's degree and familiarity with procurement principles.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of value-added purchasing including need analysis, vendor selection, substitutions, and negotiations.
• Strong organizational ability to manage high volume, changing deadlines and interruptions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks independently with minimal direction.
• Exceptional problem solving and communication skills to resolve order issues with vendors and campus units.
• Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic, fractions, percentages and quantities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for diverse campus staff and vendors.
• Experience with telephone etiquette and multi-tasking in a fast-paced office.
• Strong command of English grammar for business correspondence.
• Knowledge of accounting/procurement concepts related to accounts payable, purchasing, receiving, and inventory control is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and word processing; familiarity with data systems and reporting tools is preferred.
• Working knowledge of MAXIMO and barcode systems; mechanical aptitude related to MRO items is preferred.
• Experience with multi-shift storeroom operations and satellite storage areas is preferred.
