Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and meet liability coverage standards.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, and energy management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment, MHE, automation, and security.
• Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Coordinates emergency response or crisis management activities and liaises with local emergency management.
• Supervises selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets for facilities and security.
• Develops relationships with third-party vendors (janitorial, pest services, security, external contractors).
• Maintains insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements for contracted vendors.
• Implements efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures within facility maintenance and security.
• Establishes preventative maintenance schedules for ammonia systems, HVAC, fire protection, electrical systems, and energy management.
• Handles department projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Uses maintenance tracking software for task management.
• Conducts safety inspections and documentation to minimize loss.
• Maintains associate relations through regular meetings and open communication.
• Ensures adherence to policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
