Job summary

Sysco Redistribution Center in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, and warehouse equipment operations. You will lead a team, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safe, efficient facility performance.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills; a background in ammonia refrigeration and relevant licenses is preferred; travel may be limited.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent written and verbal communication between colleagues, peers, and RDC management.
• Ability to plan and organize work and time, analyze and disseminate numerical data, follow policies and procedures, possess basic math skills, and identify and solve problems.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures for ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, material handling equipment, storage racking, dock, and warehouse equipment.
• Monitor preventive maintenance logs and checklists as required/scheduled.
• Schedule and coordinate outside contractors and ensure work orders are completed.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to drawings, specs and standards.
• Maintain sanitation program to meet food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
