Job summary

JLL is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer in Lexington, KY. This hands-on role maintains and optimizes building mechanical systems, troubleshoots issues, and supports capital projects. You will work with PDS to develop scopes, review specs, and promote safety and code compliance.

Strong HVAC, plumbing, and BAS knowledge required. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, a technical degree, and the ability to read drawings and operate building automation systems.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with commercial building mechanical systems.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems; building automation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
• Execute work orders for repairs and improvements; document activities.
• Collaborate with PDS for scopes of work on capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, OSHA, and safety standards.
