Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic B L1-2 for its Facilities Operations & Maint TLC. The role requires 3–5 years in building trades, ability to read schematics, and hands-on maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry and painting.

Candidates must lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and endure outdoor elevations. Proficiency with Maximo and a valid driver’s license are required; HS diploma or GED is essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in building trades and ability to read schematics/engineering prints.
• 3–5 years electrical and mechanical experience required.
• Experience using Maximo or similar work management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Work at elevations in outdoor weather.
• Perform extensive walking, standing, lifting and bending.
• Maintain and operate basic lighting, wiring, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Use Maximo for time reporting and work orders.
• Support operation and maintenance of facilities including warehouses and offices.
