Job summary

City of Omaha seeks a supervisory administrator to oversee the Omaha Public Safety Training Center (OPSTC) operations, coordinating facilities, scheduling, and resources. The role includes managing the operating budget, procurement, and working with multiple city departments and the Army National Guard.

The position requires strong planning, communication, and leadership abilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a complex facility environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework and five years’ experience managing a facility.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable; municipal budgeting preferred.
• Experience with facility contracts and procurement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of a complex training facility.
• Schedules room reservations and shared resources using scheduling software.
• Manages operating budget and long-term planning; coordinates procurement.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance and oversees contractors.
• Leads Facility Management Committee and liaises with City and Army National Guard.
• Ensures readiness for emergencies and security systems.
