Job summary

Salute Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Critical Facilities Security Officer to perform unarmed patrols, monitor alarms, control access, and respond to incidents across posts.

Qualifications

• A team player with a helpful disposition.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen (zero tolerance).
• Overtime will be required at times.

Responsibilities

• Patrol exterior grounds of the facility.
• Provide access control for gates ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted.
• Manage traffic flow at gates to ensure no disruption in business operations.
• Maintain access log.
• Monitor cameras after normal working hours.
• Notify your Shift Lead or Supervisor of issues.
• Observe and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to promote physical security and safety; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.
• Contribute to communication and awareness of security policies and issues as needed; warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits; observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
