Job summary

KLC is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and improvement of corporate facilities, warehouse, and grounds. You will plan, coordinate, and direct activities to minimize business interruptions while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across all building systems.

You will lead a team, manage vendor contracts, and collaborate with leadership on long-term facility strategy, ensuring efficient operations and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade courses required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in facilities, warehouse, and contract management including environmental controls, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Working knowledge of commercial heating and air conditioning including low pressure boilers and two pipe loop systems.
• Experience with budget and project management within facilities management.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operation of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Maintains records of equipment owned or leased and ensures service intervals are met.
• Conducts facility inspections and identifies repairs or improvements.
• Directs contracted projects and prepares specifications for senior management action.
• Oversees external vendors to ensure safety and compliance.
• Manages warehouse operations including shipping/receiving and inventory control.
• Hires, trains, and supervises facilities staff; may obtain bids from outside contractors.
• Plans department budget and forecasts maintenance needs.
• Supports capital planning and long-term facility strategy.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, fire code, ADA, and other regulations.
