Job summary

JLL in Houston is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple facilities, ensuring optimal performance and occupant satisfaction. You will lead a facilities team, coordinate maintenance, and manage vendor contracts to deliver cost-effective services.

Regular client liaison will drive performance reviews and continuous improvement. The role requires a strong background in building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) and experience with CMMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in Higher Educational Experience.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and building automation.
• Supervise facility staff; recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Serve as primary client contact; respond to service requests and escalations; review performance with clients.
• Manage vendor and contract relationships; coordinate repairs and monitor budget.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage operating budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
