Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Facilities Manager in Houston, TX, to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and campus management. You will be the primary client contact, coordinate vendor and team activities, and ensure cost-effective service delivery.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in facilities management or related field and at least five years of experience; strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems; CMMS proficiency; and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Supervise facility staff and coordinate work assignments; recruit and train personnel.
• Serve as primary client contact; respond to service requests and escalations.
• Manage vendor relationships, invoices, and budgets for maintenance and operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes; coordinate drills and training.
• Plan and oversee facility improvement projects, timelines, and budgets.
