Job summary

JLL is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure optimal performance at multiple campuses in Houston, TX. You will supervise staff, manage vendors, and coordinate maintenance, safety, and budgets to deliver reliable services for clients and occupants.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project management, and adherence to safety standards, with responsibilities including contractor coordination, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in FM/engineering/business.
• Minimum 5 years facilities mgmt experience, preferably in Higher Education.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and CMMS proficiency.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and building automation systems.
• Supervise facility staff and coordinate work assignments; recruit, interview, hire, train, and evaluate personnel.
• Respond promptly to service requests, concerns, and escalations; build strong client relationships.
• Manage relationships with service providers, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards; coordinate safety training and drills.
• Develop and manage facility operating budgets; track expenses and prepare forecasts.
