Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead planning, maintenance, security, and efficient operation of our facilities across the regional footprint. The role manages Facilities Department personnel and vendor relationships while ensuring safety, compliance, and budget adherence.

Responsibilities include directing maintenance programs, space planning, and overseeing capital projects from inception to occupancy, with a focus on cost-effective and reliable service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 8+ years in facilities, property, or construction management.
• Experience with building systems, contracts, leases, vendors, budgets, security, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee a geographically dispersed, multi-site portfolio of 10+ locations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the planning, maintenance, appearance, utilization, and operational efficiency of company facilities, equipment, parking areas, and grounds.
• Manage office and workspace assignments for employees, new hires, relocations, guests, and temporary staff.
• Lead capital construction projects through full lifecycle from site selection to occupancy.
• Coordinate with local authorities on zoning, permits, and code requirements.
