Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead planning, maintenance, security, and efficient operation of our facilities across the regional footprint. You will manage facilities staff, vendor relationships, and capital construction projects from site selection to occupancy, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and budget requirements.

You will oversee asset operations, office space assignments, and tenant coordination while driving cost-effective, high‑quality facilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in facilities, property, or construction management; multi-site portfolio oversight.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, contracts, leases, vendors, budgets, and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning, maintenance, appearance, utilization, and operations of facilities and grounds.
• Maintain work order system; assign requests and track progress.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, cleaning, landscaping, and related services.
• Manage office/workspace assignments and relocations.
• Coordinate interoffice mail, courier services, and document storage/IT asset destruction.
• Lead capital construction projects from site selection through occupancy.
• Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts; monitor budget performance.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and security across facilities.
