Job summary

A Facilities Manager position at Aloft & Element North Kansas City is responsible for engineering and maintenance operations, safety, asset protection, and energy conservation. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in engineering/maintenance; or 2-year degree with 2 years experience in engineering/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Maintains and operates equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.
• Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Selects and orders or purchases new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
• Recommends or arranges for painting, repairs, renovations, and replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Supervises day-to-day operations of Engineering.
• Maintains accurate logs and records; plans preventative maintenance programs.
• Handles guest problems and complaints effectively; empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
