Job summary

KMG Hotels is seeking a Facilities Manager for the Aloft & Element North Kansas City property. You will oversee engineering and maintenance operations, focus on safety, asset protection, and regulatory compliance, and lead the emergency response team for facility issues.

The role involves budget management, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation, with daily supervision of Engineering and coordination with other departments to deliver guest-ready facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in engineering/maintenance or related area; or
• 2-year degree with 2 years experience in engineering/maintenance; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Maintains and operates equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.
• Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
