Northfield Retirement Communities in Scottsbluff, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and support residents' needs while complying with federal, state, and local requirements.

The role includes routine cleaning and upkeep of grounds and buildings, snow removal, on-call rotations, and safety checks. You will work alongside the maintenance team, delivering reliable service with professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, reading and writing ability.
• Maintenance understanding and experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Valid driver's license and insurance required; safe driving record.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and interiors, parking lots and other areas surrounding the facility.
• Details interior and exterior areas regularly using cleaning tools and equipment (i.e. broom, mop, vacuum, shampooer, rake or blower) to keep entry areas, sidewalks, streets and walking areas clean of debris.
• Assist with snow shoveling of sidewalks and other main entry areas per snow removal policy.
• On call rotation with maintenance team required.
• Helps clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
• Delivers packages to residents and staff.
• Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment and NRC Health and Safety Policy.
• Understands and follows safe work practices for all trades, including but not limited to: Lockout Tag-out, Ladder Safety, PPE, Hazardous Chemicals, Working from Elevated Surfaces, and all other Safety Protocols.
• Follow SDS sheets.
• Follow facility safety program.
• Follow waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Identify and report areas in poor repair including equipment malfunctions.
• Operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
• System checks: Fire extinguishers, filters and vents, clothes dryer vents, water temperatures, outlet testing, smoke detectors, emergency lights and exit lights, handrails, and other system checks needed.
• Ensures a safe, clean environment for residents and co-workers. Initiate corrective action.
• Provides for proper and safe care of residents’ valuables.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Accountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a resident’s personal and private information.
• Consistently work cooperatively with residents, and staff.
• Come to work in a neat, clean uniform with nametag and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
• Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Assume accountability for data contained in the employees’ handbook.
