Job summary

Warroad Senior Living Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain a safe environment by completing assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Responsibilities include general maintenance, grounds care, and preventive maintenance on medical equipment, with on-call duties for snow removal as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with facility maintenance and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care Facility preferred.
• Working understanding of physical plant repairs/preventive maintenance and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of the property including grounds and physical plant.
• Snow removal and lawn mowing.
• Basic carpentry such as handrail repair and dresser drawer pulls.
• Repair of windows, walls, call systems, light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
• Preventive maintenance on medical equipment and other facility equipment.
