Qualifications

• Maintenance understanding and experience preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle with valid license and insurance
• Must have a clean driving record
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent customer service and friendly demeanor
• Ability to stand for hours and multi-task
• Experience driving manual and automatic transmissions
• Must be at least 25 years old
• Speak/understand English (or language understood by residents)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform job duties
• Maintain good interpersonal relationships and confidentiality
• Able to work at any Northfield Retirement Communities facility
• Ability to work independently without supervision

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, and buildings
• Details interior/exterior areas with cleaning tools to keep areas debris-free
• Assist with snow shoveling per policy
• On-call rotation with maintenance team
• Helps clean and maintain storage and shop areas
• Delivers packages to residents and staff
• Complies with OSHA safety regulations and facility policies
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE
• Performs system checks (fire extinguishers, vents, smoke detectors, etc.)
• Maintains safe, clean environment for residents and co-workers
• Maintains confidentiality and professional appearance
• Demonstrates dependability and punctuality
