Regional West Health Services is seeking a Facilities Technician in Scottsbluff, NE to perform minor renovation projects and implement interim life safety measures for ILSM and ICRA barriers. The role supports patient-focused care and quality of service across regional facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license, with preferred experience in construction, sheetrock, and interpreting technical manuals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license required.
  • 1-2 years construction experience including sheetrock work, installation of ceiling grids along with metal stud walls, with experience in 1-2 hour barrier walls for projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demolition of walls, ceilings, flooring (to include floor and carpet) doors hardware.
  • Evaluate sheetrock demolition for access for plumbing clean outs and access to HVAC ductwork.
  • Patching drywall, cover base, trim work and minor painting, repairs to floor tile, and ceiling tile.
  • Collaborate to assist with the installation and repairs of fire doors, smoke doors, door hardware to include locks and keys.
