Job summary

Frontida, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech to ensure the safe, efficient operation of our Facility Homes and Corporate Office in Wisconsin. You will manage maintenance, respond to emergencies after hours, and coordinate with executives on facility needs.

Duties include renovations, safety compliance, and daily reporting to leadership. You will perform repairs, landscape duties, equipment maintenance, and enforce Frontida’s standards.

Qualifications

• Must complete probationary period successfully.
• Must be flexible and able to work alone if necessary.
• Ability to solve problems through critical thought process.
• Expert knowledge of materials, methods and techniques commonly used in construction, maintenance and repair activities as related to assigned areas of specialization.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety standards and practices applicable to work being performed.
• Must keep accurate records of any tools purchased.
• History of actively demonstrating Frontida’s culture and exhibiting extraordinary care toward Frontida’s residents.

Responsibilities

• Represent Frontida with professionalism, always embracing Frontida’s culture, which includes “treating others as you would like to be treated”.
• Ensure that Frontida is compliant with DHS 83 and its regulations regarding the maintenance of the facilities, and the safety of its residents.
• Manage projects that encompass the renovation of the buildings, including budgeting, bids, materials, and installation.
• Maintain buildings and their systems for conditions that need attention and take appropriate action to correct problems.
• Maintain tracking of ALL repair issues using the Work order program.
• Report maintenance spending to Executive Director with receipts and variance explanations.
• Communicate vital facilities information to the Regional Facilities Director and Executive Directors.
• Report daily activities and facility needs to the Executive Director.
• Coordinate with outside appliance maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Contribute to maintenance department and cross-department activities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance practices on all equipment and structures.
• Perform repairs to buildings: carpets, walls, ceilings, equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing; painting, carpentry, cement work.
• Mow, trim and edge lawns; plants shrubs; liaise with landscaper for deficiencies.
• Apply fertilizers, insecticides, and other chemicals as needed.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Maintain harmonious relations with staff and promote Frontida culture.
• Suggest improvements to policies and practices.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and DHS 83 compliance, especially life safety equipment.
• Keep new maintenance staff informed about policies and practices.
• Maintain a professional image aligned with Frontida’s brand.
• Communicate promptly any problems or concerns regarding residents or facilities.
