Job summary

VOA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep apartments, shelters, and offices, ensuring safety and functionality across properties. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs, while addressing maintenance concerns promptly and maintaining welcoming spaces for participants and staff.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventive work, and on-call support, with a full-time schedule and potential after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and BBP within six months.
• Clear criminal background and driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and equipment for safety and readiness.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.
• Install, repair, and replace locks, doors, and hardware.
• Support safety practices and complete work orders promptly.
• Drive between VOA locations and manage materials as needed.
• Participate in after-hours on-call schedule.
