Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds for residents and staff at a southeastern veterans center. The role requires multi-trade skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and groundskeeping with a strong commitment to safety.

Typical schedule is 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with every other weekend and no telework option.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance with two trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training
• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Carpentry: repair doors, furniture, structural items and operate power tools
• Electrical: install circuits, repair fixtures, maintain motors and lighting
• Plumbing: install/repair fixtures, clear drains, maintain water/steam lines
• HVAC maintenance: service heating/cooling units, repair steam equipment, maintain refrigeration
• Groundskeeping: maintain lawns, remove debris, perform seasonal tasks including snow removal
• Follow safety rules and use PPE
